Health PEI seeks a Unit Clerk for Surgery and Restorative Care. You will provide main reception, maintain patient charts, and support nursing staff and the Nurse Manager. The position includes communicating with hospital departments, entering information into the Clinical Information System, and coordinating patient services. This is a permanent CUPE position working 48 percent part-time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Record patient information on medical records and requisitions
- Assemble charts before rounds, audits, and quality checks
- Route requisitions for clinical and departmental services
- Coordinate admission, discharge, transfer, and diet information
- Receive messages and provide general information to visitors

Requirements:

- Successful completion of Grade 12
- Health Unit Coordinating Certificate or equivalent
- Computer training and relevant software experience
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, payroll, and scheduling software
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute
