Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to safeguard our retail environment by preventing theft, reducing shrinkage, and ensuring a secure shopping experience for our customers and staff. In this dynamic role, you will utilize your law enforcement background, surveillance expertise, and loss prevention knowledge to monitor activity, identify suspicious behavior, and respond swiftly to incidents. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will help maintain a secure store atmosphere while supporting operational efficiency.

Duties

- Conduct continuous surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor store activity and identify potential theft or security breaches
- Respond promptly to alarms, suspicious activity, or incidents, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary
- Perform regular patrols of the sales floor, stockrooms, entrances, exits, and other key areas to deter theft and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Investigate theft incidents by gathering evidence through surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses or staff
- Collaborate with store management and security teams to develop loss prevention strategies and improve security procedures
- Maintain detailed incident reports, surveillance logs,



and records of all security activities for audit purposes
- Educate staff on loss prevention techniques and promote awareness of security policies

Qualifications

- Proven experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention roles with a strong understanding of retail environments
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment with an eye for detail
- Knowledge of loss prevention principles, shoplifting behaviors, and theft deterrence strategies
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent observational skills combined with strong communication abilities
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Certification in security or law enforcement training is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $16.50-$18.00 per hour
