Machine Operator (Food Production - VFFS Packaging)

Job Summary

We are hiring a Machine Operator for a food production facility in Concord. This role involves operating and monitoring VFFS packaging equipment, performing quality checks, troubleshooting minor issues, and ensuring products meet food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor VFFS packaging machines.
- Perform machine setup, changeovers, film roll changes, and adjustments.
- Conduct quality checks on packaging, seals, coding, labels, and product weight.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report maintenance concerns.
- Operate related equipment including conveyors, weighers, metal detectors, and coders.
- Complete production, downtime, and quality reports.
- Maintain a clean work area following GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
- Follow all food safety, health & safety,



and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Work closely with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

- 1-2 years of machine operating or manufacturing experience.
- Previous VFFS packaging experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in food manufacturing is an asset.
- Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) occasionally.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull as required.
