Lead Arborist / Crew Leader

We're looking for an experienced Lead Arborist / Crew Leader who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and is confident managing a crew through challenging tree removals and pruning operations.

Your Responsibilities

- Lead a crew through residential and commercial tree removals, pruning, and technical rigging operations.
- Perform complex climbs and removals using safe, professional techniques.
- Assess job sites, identify hazards, and establish secure work plans before starting.
- Organize crew responsibilities to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
- Operate bucket trucks, chippers, chainsaws, and other arboricultural equipment.
- Maintain equipment, climbing gear, and vehicles to professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and management.
- Take ownership of job quality, crew productivity, and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For





- Minimum 3 years of qualified climbing and tree care experience.
- Strong technical climbing, rigging, and tree removal skills.
- Experience leading or supervising a tree care crew.
- Confidence handling large trees and challenging removals.
- Ontario Qualified Arborist (444A) or ISA certification preferred.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving abstract; DZ licence is a bonus.
- Chainsaw safety training and strong knowledge of industry safety practices.
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to lead by example.
