Summary

Within the context of a patient, client and family centred model of care and, in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Providence Health Care, promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working workplace for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff.

Reporting to the Manager, Security Operations or designate, the Dispatcher, Security Operations operates a VOIP telephone switchboard for Providence Health Care and is responsible for monitoring security systems, including CCTV, and dispatching security personnel. Using sound judgement and critical thinking, the Dispatcher will dispatch Relational Security Officers to respond to emergencies and non-emergencies while following hospital policies and procedures.

What You Bring

Education

- Grade 12 and one (1) year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills and Abilities

- Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal effectively with others.
- Ability to organize work.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
