Sales Leader | Full-time/Permanent | Montreal, QC (hybrid)

About the Role

PlatformEQ is looking for a hands-on Sales Leader to build and run the sales function for our sister company, a boutique insurance brokerage. You will build a playbook that you will then apply to our future subsidiaries' sales functions.

This is a build role. You will start close to the work, selling and shaping the playbook yourself, then hire and lead a team of 4 to 6 salespeople. You will own sales strategy, targets, and KPIs from day one.

What You’ll Do

- Define and execute the sales strategy, including target markets, positioning, pricing approach, and go-to-market plan;
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach a team of 4 to 6 sales professionals;
- Set sales goals, quotas, and KPIs, and report on performance to leadership;
- Build and refine the sales process, from lead generation and qualification through to close and handoff;
- Personally generate and close business while the team is being built;
- Establish pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline;




- Collaborate with leadership and operations to align sales with service delivery and growth goals;
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performance culture in a remote Montreal-based team.

What You Bring

- Proven hands-on sales experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets;
- At least 2 years of experience building and managing a sales team;
- Experience setting sales strategy and defining and tracking KPIs;
- Strong coaching, hiring, and people leadership skills;
- Comfort working in a small, fast-moving setting where you build the process rather than inherit it;
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
- Based in or near Montreal, as your team will be Montreal-based and you will be working with them regularly.
