AyA Kitchens is seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to support accurate financial reporting and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will bring 5 years of progressive accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and a team-oriented approach.

Reporting to the finance leadership team, the General Accountant will support month-end and year-end close, maintain reliable records, and help strengthen financial processes and controls.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

· Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met.

· Maintain general ledger accuracy and investigate unusual balances or variances.

· Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications, and banking activities as required.

· Prepare inventory, payroll and consolidated statistical reports.

· Support budgeting, forecasting, audit requests, and tax or regulatory filings.

· Maintain fixed-asset records, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions.

· Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and documentation.

· Collaborate with colleagues across departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure complete, timely information.

Qualifications/Skills:





· 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or a similar role.

· Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards with proven analysis skills.

· Proficient proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, V-lookup, Macros)

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic Navision an asset

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Experience in manufacturing environment an asset

· High attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

· Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
