Job Responsibility:

Our company is seeking a Pedorthist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has proven experience in assessing lower limb biomechanics, designing and fitting custom foot orthotics, and providing footwear modifications and recommendations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy, gait analysis, and orthopedic conditions related to the feet and lower limbs. A Pedorthist will be expected to continue their education and maintain certification through ongoing career development such as seminars, classes, and workshops.

Responsibilities

- Conduct biomechanical assessments and gait analyses.
- Design, fabricate, and fit custom foot orthotics and footwear modifications.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and orthotic usage.
- Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions in the clinic and lab environment.
- Collaborate with referring healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

- Certification and in good standing as a Canadian Certified Pedorthist (C. Ped (C)) with the College of Pedorthics of Canada.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of foot and lower limb anatomy, biomechanics, and medical terminology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism.
