Driver/Equipment Service Attendant

Local Rental Solutions Ltd. is looking for a reliable, hardworking Driver/Equipment Service Attendant to join our team in Whitehorse. This is a hands-on position responsible for Helping with customer deliveries a and keeping our rental equipment clean, serviced, secure, and ready to go.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workday, working outdoors, operating and maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has good attention to detail, and is comfortable working around a wide variety of equipment. Mechanical experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver and pick up rental equipment at customer locations and job sites.
- Load, unload, secure, and transport equipment safely.
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on rental equipment
- Grease equipment and perform regular oil and filter changes
- Check fluid levels, tires, tracks, belts, hoses, and other basic components
- Clean and thoroughly inspect equipment when it returns from rental
- Prepare and clean equipment prior to being rented back out
- Identify damage, wear, or mechanical issues and report them to the service manager
- Ensure equipment is in safe, clean, and presentable condition before leaving the yard
- Assist with minor repairs and general equipment maintenance
- Keep the shop, service areas, and equipment yard clean and organized




- Help load and unload equipment as required
- Assist other team members with general yard and shop duties
- Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment servicing practices

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience driving trucks, towing trailers, or working in equipment rental, construction, or a related industry is an asset.

- Class 5 Driver with heavy trailer endorsement or willingness to achieve.
- Previous experience with equipment, mechanics, automotive, construction, or a similar field is an asset
- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Good communication and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
