Job Responsibility:

Jayne Industries is seeking a Packager for full-time employment at our plant in Stoney Creek.

Primary Purpose: The Packager is responsible for packaging product into boxes or on pallets in a secure fashion. This role requires the moving, lifting, pushing, pulling, and placing packages, boxes, and other freight goods. All duties are to be handled safely and efficiently while following the company's policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities / Skills:

· Picking, counting, packing, weighing, wrapping, labeling.

· Examining/inspecting containers and materials to ensure packing specifications are met.

· Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, glues, nails, and padding.

· Safe operation of automatic pallet wrapper.

· Recording product, packaging and order information on specified forms and records.

· Regular inventory counts.

· Complete and maintain required paperwork and logs.

· Communicate effectively with relevant personnel to carry out tasks.

· Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.

· Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

· Ability to stand, bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.

· Effectively use precision hand measuring instruments.

· Physically demanding - required to stand for extended periods; bend, crouch, and kneel.

Required Qualifications:

· 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or related field.





· Forklift Certificate - Preferred.

· Overhead Crane Certification - Preferred.

Education:

· Highschool diploma - Required.

Working Environment:

· Manufacturing warehouse.

· Exposure to dust, dirt, heat, noise, and vibration.

· Standing for long periods of time.

· Travel - none.

· Overtime as needed.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
