Corporate lending and investments counsel can advise EDC through a hybrid work model in Ottawa, Toronto, or Montreal. Apply advanced drafting and negotiation skills. As Lead Counsel, you will support EDC’s Lending and Investments team within Legal Services. The work covers corporate lending, project finance, investments, asset management, contracts, policies, and statutory requirements. You will advise legal and business teams across transaction and non-transactional matters. Key Responsibilities:

Structure, negotiate, and document corporate lending transactions Identify issues and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures Draft legal documentation and advise on financing asset management Interpret contracts, policies, authorizations, and relevant statutes Retain, supervise, and review outside counsel services Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in Law Canadian provincial or territorial bar membership in positive standing Seven or ten years of relevant experience, depending on level Strong written, verbal, and legal drafting skills Ability to manage high volumes of transactions efficiently Bring commercial judgment, risk mitigation, and relationship management skills to EDC’s corporate lending and investments practice.
