Design low-noise optomechanical systems for SBQuantum’s quantum sensors, integrating optics and mechanics for demanding field applications. Work across research and product development. As an Optomechanical Engineer, you will own the diamond quantum magnetometer’s optomechanical subsystem. You will transform optical concepts into rugged, manufacturable systems. Your work supports sensors operating aboard drones, aircraft, and spacecraft.Key Responsibilities: Design and improve the magnetometer’s optomechanical architectureDevelop laser modules, photodetection optics, and fiber routingIntegrate optical, microwave, thermal, and magnetic subsystemsLead DFM, DFA, FMEA, and root cause investigationsBuild laboratory setups and engineering prototypesRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related disciplineStrong background in optics or optomechanicsFive-plus years designing precision optomechanical systemsExperience moving products from prototype through manufacturingExperience with thermal and vibration-resistant mechanical designApply optomechanical design, optical integration, and manufacturing experience to advance SBQuantum’s diamond quantum magnetometer technology.#J-18808-Ljbffr
