About the role

Kal Tire seeks an experienced Automotive Service Technician for its Mining Tire Group in Wabush. This full time role involves performing maintenance and repairs on compact cars, domestic vehicles, and light-duty fleets. Ideal candidates will mentor apprentices, maintain high standards of service, and collaborate in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities





- Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on diverse vehicles
- Mentor apprentices and support their skill development
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify service opportunities
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met in all tasks
- Conduct engine diagnostics and brake/suspension repairs

Requirements

- Fully licensed Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical experience
- Valid driver's license required
- Familiarity with VMAC is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
