As a Senior Staff Software Developer for the Software Platform (SP) organization in Toronto, you will be at the forefront of this historic cultural and financial shift, serving as the senior-most individual contributor and a technical leader across five SP teams-Networking, Observability, Compute, Provisioning, and Storage. Your mission is to increase developer velocity and ensure system reliability at scale by delivering robust, scalable, and secure systems.

What you’ll do:
● Lead architecture, strategy, and technical direction across SP teams, driving end-to-end system design and alignment.
● Build scalable, reliable infrastructure systems
● Collaborate with engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to solve technical challenges and define best practices.
● Act as a mentor and technical leader, sharing expertise and fostering growth across teams.
● Own roadmapping and delivery of critical platform initiatives, including service mesh implementation and infrastructure modernization.

What you bring:




● 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a Staff or Senior Staff role
● Proven track record in technical leadership, system design, and architecture at scale.
● Proven track record of leading cross-functional engineering initiatives and shipping platform-wide improvements
● Experience with cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, AWS, gRPC, and related tools.
● Solid communication skills with the ability to influence and align diverse technical stakeholders.
● Hands-on experience with observability, compute, storage, and provisioning platforms; prior experience in infrastructure or platform engineering preferred.

Benefits:
This role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits. Base pay range: $213,000--$250,000 CAD (Toronto, ON)
