Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry.

As a Laboratory Technician, you'll get to
- Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
- Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking,
transformation, and filtration.
- Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
- Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
High School graduate or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
No experience required.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be detail oriented and possess solid communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Must be able to maintain donor, patient and employee confidentiality.
- Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
