About Opportunity

Our client, a rapidly growing organization in the consumer goods sector, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team on a 6-month maternity leave contract. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of collections, credit approvals, and customer payment applications, supporting both Canadian and U.S. operations. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys managing a variety of customer relationships, and brings strong communication and organizational skills.

What You’ll Do:

- Assist with day‑to‑day accounts receivable activities, including payments, collections, invoices, credits, and account reconciliations.
- Follow up with customers on outstanding balances and assist with collections.
- Assist with customer account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Process customer credits and assist with return/credit requests.
- Assist with invoicing and related AR tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate AR records, documentation, and supporting schedules.
- Work closely with the AR Supervisor and other members of the finance team to resolve customer account issues.




- Provide general administrative and reporting support to the AR function as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

- 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, or credit/collections experience.
- Strong attention to detail and valuable organizational skills.
- Comfortable communicating with customers and following up on outstanding balances.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good Excel and general accounting software skills.
- Previous experience in consumer products, distribution, or retail is an asset.
- A positive, team‑oriented approach and willingness to learn.
