Inspect ferrous and non-ferrous metals with American Iron & Metal in a rotating Monday-Friday shift. Apply detailed quality knowledge across yard operations.

As an Inspector supporting AIM’s Ferrous team, you will assess incoming and outgoing materials for grades, contaminants, and quality issues. The work requires knowledge of metal properties, inspection tools, and company and customer specifications. You will also coordinate material movement and communicate findings across operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for grades and contaminants
- Verify materials meet company and customer quality specifications
- Coordinate material movement, sorting, and yard handling
- Complete pile quality, truck,



and overnight load checks
- Communicate downgrades, deductions, and required actions

Requirements:

- Previous similar experience in metal recycling is desirable
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and impurities
- Familiarity with scales, callipers, and magnet testers
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping
