CI Investments is seeking a Manager, Fund Taxation to support tax operations and compliance across its investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, mutual fund corporations, and segregated funds. This is an existing vacancy. The role follows an in-office model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual fund tax distributions and allocations.
- Assist with fund tax returns, including T3, T5, and NR4 filings, and review year-end distributions and tax factors.
- Support compliance with CRA requirements and tax audit engagements.
- Maintain PFIC, HST blended-rate, and international tax documentation, including W-8 BEN-E, CRS, and W-9 forms.
- Monitor tax legislation and maintain fund tax procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
- Partner with Legal, Product, Operations,



and Client Services on tax inquiries and product initiatives, including fund launches, mergers, and terminations.
- Help maintain tax reporting tools and systems, mentor junior tax staff, and coordinate with external advisors, custodians, and service providers.

Qualifications

- Five to seven years of experience in fund taxation, accounting, or financial services, with knowledge of Canadian mutual funds and ETFs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Working knowledge of IFRS, fund accounting, and Canadian tax reporting standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax software.

Compensation

Anticipated base salary: $69,500–$119,500 per year, depending on factors including experience, skills, education, budget, and location. The position is also eligible for a bonus program and advantages.
