Actalent seeks a Distribution Design Technologist for its Utilities Division. This permanent, full time position covers overhead electrical infrastructure and some underground design. You will coordinate stakeholders, complete designs, prepare packages, and perform quality assurance for infrastructure and utilities projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design overhead electrical infrastructure to client and national standards
- Evaluate pole designs using SPIDAcalc non-linear analysis
- Confirm underground solutions with cable pulling calculations
- Prepare feeder, smart meter,



and attachment design packages
- Review peer work and coordinate project stakeholders

Requirements:

- Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, preferably BCIT Power
- Zero to four years utility distribution design experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- BC Hydro distribution experience is an asset
