Support PLC-based controls and industrial troubleshooting as an Automation and Controls Electrician at McCain Foods in Grand Falls. This is regular full time work.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Automation and Controls Electrician supports reliable plant operations across the Grand Falls complex. The work includes electrical systems, instrumentation, communications, PLCs, HMIs, variable frequency drives, and industrial networks. The role collaborates with maintenance, production, engineering, and Capital Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, communication, and automation systems
- Support PLC control system programming, commissioning, and optimization
- Maintain PLC hardware, software, and HMI applications
- Configure and diagnose VFDs, motors,



and control centres
- Provide breakdown support during standby rotations and shutdowns

Requirements:

- Licensed Electrician certification
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Automation software
- Understanding of industrial communication and control networks
- Knowledge of CSA electrical code and Arc Flash practices
- Availability for shift coverage, shutdowns, and on-call requirements
