Maintain biomedical equipment at Durham College in Whitby, using calibration and troubleshooting skills across instructional laboratories. This regular part-time position offers 24 hours weekly.

Reporting to the Manager, Academic Operations, the Electronics/Biomedical Technician supports biomedical, electronics, electrical, and motor control facilities. The position combines equipment repair, technical assistance, inventory management, procurement, and laboratory safety. It supports faculty, students, curriculum delivery, and applied research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain, repair, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Provide technical assistance and equipment demonstrations
- Coordinate vendor services, repairs, and equipment installations
- Manage inventories, ordering, receiving,



and equipment loans
- Maintain protected, operational laboratory environments

Requirements:

- Three-year diploma or degree in Biomedical or Electronics Engineering Technology
- Minimum two years of recent, relevant experience
- Experience with medical device maintenance and testing
- Experience with calibration, procurement, or inventory activities
- Ability to learn technologies independently through self-directed training
