We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join a Toronto, Ontario team in a Long-term Contract position. This role focuses on inventory and cost accounting, month-end activities, and financial analysis within a complex operating setting. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and other business partners to strengthen reporting accuracy, support process improvements, and provide meaningful financial insight to leadership.Responsibilities:- Manage cost accounting activities by maintaining calculations, monitoring cost flows, and supporting consistent valuation practices.- Partner with operations, logistics, and other internal teams to investigate inventory variances and improve the accuracy of stock balances.- Complete quarterly standard cost assessments and evaluate the financial impact of updates in collaboration with operational stakeholders.- Reconcile third-party logistics shipment records against internal data, including analysis of goods in transit and related discrepancies.- Contribute to inventory management system testing and help shape process design as part of implementation-related activities.- Prepare journal entries and
