rental search assistance, and additional resources provided pending role and locationMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, with Qualified Engineer designation or eligibility for registration with APEGAMinimum four years of field experience in an operating facility, troubleshooting rotating equipment and developing short- and long-term solutions to improve equipment reliability and availabilityHands-on experience with material handling equipment, including slurry pumps, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, and crushers; experience with hydraulic systems is an assetStrong knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis and reliability metrics; Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an assetClient-service oriented with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively; experience with SAP/S4 and Fieldglass is an assetResponsibilitiesServe as the primary contact between the Production Unit and the Rotating Engineering team,



ensuring clear communication and coordinationParticipate in daily and weekly Production Unit meetings to support equipment availability and decision-makingProvide updates and reports to stakeholders on the status of tasks, progress, and any potential concerns or deviations from the planIssue scope of work and inspection recommendations for Outage and routine maintenance activitiesIssue reliability metrics reports for different equipment classesMonitor equipment health, troubleshoot performance and failures, and complete root cause analysisComplete equipment wear analysisApply a continuous improvement mindset to increase equipment reliability and decrease operating costLocation and other Key detailsYou will work out of a Syncrude Mildred Lake location in Fort McMurray. Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
