Design precision robotics hardware at Mecka AI, combining 3D CAD and hands-on testing to create durable, practical data-capture products.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will own designs from concepts and prototypes through validation and production. Apply mechanics, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing judgment across hardware supporting embodied AI systems. Partner with electrical and sensor engineers to resolve packaging, thermal, routing, and service-access requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems supporting accurate recording and effective manufacturing
- Build prototypes and test fit, weight, stiffness, and usability
- Analyze tolerances, loads, sensor alignment, and physical measurements
- Partner on packaging, thermal paths, cable routing, and service access
- Refine parts using supplier, reliability, and field feedback
Requirements:
- Three to four years of mechanical engineering experience
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or Onshape and engineering drawings
- Understanding of mechanics, materials, tolerances, fits, and fasteners
- Hands-on prototype-building and physical assembly testing experience
- Knowledge of machining, molding, sheet metal, or additive manufacturing
Bring mechanical fundamentals, manufacturing judgment, and testing discipline to Mecka AI’s precision hardware for embodied AI.
