Teach online electives with School District 71 using personalized instruction, diverse technology, and assessment for learning practices. This temporary position is 0.40 FTE.

NIDES seeks a teacher for Child Development 12, Interpersonal Family Relations 11, Hospitality & Tourism 12, and Active Living 12. The successful candidate will design and instruct secondary electives in an online learning workplace. The work includes online and face-to-face collaboration with students, colleagues, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide personalized online learning courses across diverse instructional technologies
- Develop and maintain advanced online curriculum
- Support blended instruction, classrooms, learning centres, and tutorials




- Teach students province wide from a Comox Valley school
- Provide online and in-person tutorial support

Requirements:

- Training, certification, or direct online learning teaching experience
- Experience designing secondary online electives instruction
- Experience, training, and education in adult education
- Advanced learning management system classroom maintenance skills
- Ability to support course adaptations and I.E.P.s
