The Environmental Services Field Supervisor oversees landfills, transfer stations, and recycling depots. Reporting to the Superintendent of Solid Waste Operations, this position provides front-line leadership to unionized Environmental Services Workers. The work supports secure, efficient service delivery and continuous improvement across the Regional District’s solid waste system.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise day-to-day solid waste operations across multiple facilities
- Coordinate landfill, transfer station, and recycling depot activities
- Provide front-line leadership to unionized Environmental Services Workers
- Coordinate contractors, regulators,



staff, and public interactions
- Support operational planning and continuous service improvement

Requirements:

- Solid waste operations knowledge across the management system
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and environmental protection
- SWANA Manager of Landfill Operations certification
- Ability to travel between facilities using a corporate fleet vehicle
- Ability to follow permits, agreements, and Regional District policies
