Commissionaires is seeking a security professional for its Island Health site in Parksville. You will monitor facility access, verify identification, issue temporary passes, patrol premises, and operate CCTV and alarm systems. The position also requires incident response, report writing, visitor assistance, and communication with supervisors. This role reports to the Site Supervisor or Client Service Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control facility access and verify authorized entry
- Conduct patrols to detect suspicious activity
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Prepare incident reports and daily logs
Requirements:
- Valid BC Security Workers License or willingness to obtain
- Ability to obtain Reliability Clearance
- Minimum age of 19 years
- Robust observation and communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol extensively
