for students with a variety of educational needs (autism [ASD], fetal alcohol spectrum disorder [FASD], Learning Disability, academic remediation, behavioural challenges, etc.) within a multi-disciplinary teamDemonstrated knowledge of:Inclusionary practicesMinistry of Education, Special Education categories criteriaSuccessful behavioural management programming (positive behaviour support, functional behaviour assessment, etc.)Wide range of teaching and management strategiesComputer technology to support and enhance learningThis assignment supports a wide range of students’ educational programming needs. Responsibilities willinclude case management, diagnostic assessment, planning, evaluation and implementation ofindividualized education plans (IEPs) for students’ either claimed or unclaimed within the Ministry ofEducation categories, as well as supervision and direction of Certified Education Assistants (CEAs)assigned within a school. The assignment will require cooperative planning within a multi-disciplinaryteam including classroom teachers, school based personnel, itinerant district specialists, and ProvincialOutreach Program staff.
