Summary: Location: Montreal Work Mode: Onsite (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week) Duration: 12 Months Contract Position Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.

Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, and production support.

Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective solutions.

Drive engineering best practices including code quality, automation, application resiliency, performance, and operational support.

Contribute to application modernisation, continuous improvement initiatives, and agile delivery processes.

Requirements: Solid commercial software development experience with Java (Java 17) and Spring Boot.

Experience building and supporting REST APIs and backend services.

Solid understanding of object-oriented design, software engineering principles, and development best practices.

Experience with SQL, relational databases, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve complex production issues.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

Preferred Skills: Experience with technologies such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, Angular (web development), microservices architectures, cloud-hosted environments, observability platforms (Open

Telemetry), and Dev

Ops practices would be beneficial.

Previous experience within financial services or other large-scale enterprise environments is advantageous.
