Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at Berkshire Care Centre in Windsor while supporting laundry services and meaningful resident activities.
The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide reports to the Environmental Services Manager at Berkshire Care Centre. You will clean rooms and furnishings, handle linens and personal clothing, and protect resident privacy. The work follows established procedures for sanitation, laundry, safety, and infection control.
Key Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize rooms, furnishings, bathrooms, and assigned work areas
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver laundry
Prepare rooms for current occupants using prescribed procedures
Report low supplies, equipment malfunctions, and potential liability issues
Involve residents in meaningful everyday domestic activities
Requirements: Understand washer, dryer, cleaning equipment, and process chemicals
Read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
Protect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Provide a vulnerable sector screen and recent TB results
Provide three supervisory references and seasonal flu documentation
Support Berkshire Care Centre residents through dependable housekeeping, laundry service, sanitation, and person-centred daily interactions.
