Deliver specialized nursing care at Balsam as a Licensed Practical Nurse, using medication administration and compassionate communication. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, this LPN supports participants with diverse abilities in an inclusive care workplace. You will collaborate with participants, families, disciplines, and stakeholders to deliver quality care. The position includes casual, part-time, and full-time options.
Key Responsibilities: Provide skilled nursing procedures within scope of practice
Administer medications and assess treatment effects
Document symptoms, behaviors, needs, and clinical information
Provide wound, foot, ostomy, and catheter care
Respond to emergencies and notify required contacts
Requirements: Hold current Nova Scotia practical nursing licensure
Maintain good standing with the licensing college
Follow Nova Scotia nursing practice guidelines
Attend required organizational competency training
Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
Apply licensed practical nursing, medication, documentation, and communication skills while supporting Balsam participants across scheduled shifts.
