Support operating room patients through positioning, transport, and room turnover duties at North Bay Regional Health Centre. Work within Perioperative Services under regulated provider direction.
This Room Based Attendant role provides direct and indirect patient care across the surgical portfolio. You will assist with patient positioning, transport patients and specimens, and maintain operating room readiness. The role also includes stocking supplies and supporting the Perioperative Services team.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with positioning patients for surgical care
Complete operating room turnovers between surgical cases
Transport patients using diverse transportation methods
Deliver specimens to the laboratory
Stock supplies and support Perioperative Services
Requirements: Post-secondary graduation or equivalent required
Current Basic Life Support certificate required
Housekeeping techniques experience required
Basic computer knowledge and solid organization skills
Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams
Bring patient transport, room turnover, and communication skills to North Bay Regional Health Centre’s operating room services.
