Operate sidebooms safely on Ledcor’s Fort Hills industrial project, using lift plans, capacity charts, and site procedures. Work outdoors in Alberta.
This experienced Sideboom Operator assignment requires at least three years operating sidebooms. You will handle pipe sections, coordinate with operators, and maintain equipment stability across challenging terrain. The work supports Ledcor Pipeline’s industrial and pipeline services.
Key Responsibilities: Operate 583, 594, 587, and JD 1050 sideboom models
Lift, move, align, and lower pipe sections
Coordinate with operators when carrying pipe sections
Complete pre-use and daily equipment inspections
Follow Ledcor, client, and regulatory safety requirements
Requirements: Minimum three years of sideboom operating experience
Ability to interpret capacity charts and rigging requirements
Understanding of boom, cable, component, and load relationships
Robust commitment to workplace safety
Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
