This full-time, permanent position supports a growing Ontario-based mortgage team. Intermediate and senior underwriters are welcome, with compensation reflecting experience and technical knowledge. The focus is underwriting, lender relationships, accurate documentation, and efficient file progression, not building a personal mortgage business.
Key Responsibilities: Review introduction-call notes and assume ownership of assigned mortgage files
Underwrite pre-approvals and live mortgage transactions
Assess borrower documents for completeness, accuracy, and qualification
Select appropriate lenders and products for borrower circumstances




Manage conditions, deadlines, escalations, and closing dates
Requirements: Valid Ontario Mortgage Agent Level 1 licence or higher
Hands-on mortgage underwriting experience, preferably in brokerage
Knowledge of products, guidelines, qualification requirements, and lending practices
Strong communication, organization, accuracy, and follow-through
Ability to manage multiple files independently in a remote environment
Apply mortgage underwriting expertise, lender knowledge, and disciplined file management to support accurate Ontario mortgage approvals remotely.
