Senior Airport Project Architect at AECOM, based on-site in Mississauga, requires architectural review expertise and professional registration. This newly created role supports complex capital projects.
You will independently review major project designs, challenge architectural solutions, and support owner-side technical assurance. The work covers codes, accessibility, building science, specifications, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordination. Airport experience is preferred, alongside familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, BIM coordination, and Bluebeam workflows.
Key Responsibilities: Review complex capital projects at key design stages
Check submissions against codes, standards, and owner requirements
Identify architectural risks, gaps, and coordination issues




Provide evidence-based comments and recommendations
Track findings through resolution and closure
Requirements: Degree and eight years of relevant experience, or equivalency
Qualified registration, preferably OAA or Ontario eligibility
Approximately ten or more years of architectural experience preferred
Experience reviewing multidisciplinary capital projects preferred
Strong communication and defensible recommendation skills
