The Produce Manager develops department staff and supports customer needs through strong retail leadership. This position oversees inventory control, product presentation, labour costs, budgets, product knowledge, and customer service. Responsibilities also include policy adherence, financial targets, training, and community activities.
Key Responsibilities: Coach, train, develop, and manage department employees
Order, receive, rotate, merchandise, and present produce
Manage budgets, labour costs, forecasts, and financial results




Maintain inventory control and exceptional product presentation
Implement food safety and Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Requirements: Minimum 18 months of retail store experience
Produce experience preferred
High School Diploma
Experience analyzing financial reports and managing budgets
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and robust communication skills
Bring produce knowledge, retail leadership, financial analysis, and customer service expertise to Sobeys department operations.
