Investigate complex disability claims for Canada Life using evidence based analysis, interviews, and defensible reporting in a hybrid Canadian role.
This six month temporary Claims Investigation Specialist contract supports accurate claim outcomes and financial integrity. You will assess information from multiple sources, investigate suspicious claims, and provide recommendations for benefit decisions, recoveries, or escalation. The position requires close collaboration with disability case managers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct open source investigations and comprehensive claim file reviews
Interview plan members, sponsors, tipsters, physicians, and stakeholders
Prepare explicit, objective, defensible investigative reports
Coordinate vendors and collaborate on complex investigative files
Negotiate overpayment repayment agreements with plan members
Requirements: Five or more years of disability case management experience
Extensive knowledge of disability insurance
Bachelor’s degree or relevant college diploma
Strong investigative planning, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Excellent report writing, organization, and stakeholder communication abilities
