Thor Plumbing & Heating is looking for Apprentice Plumbers who want to build their skills and progress through the plumbing trade. You’ll work alongside experienced Journeypersons on plumbing, heating, service and project work while completing the practical experience required through your apprenticeship.

As your skills develop, you’ll take on increasingly technical work and greater responsibility in the field.

What you’ll do

Assist with plumbing and heating installations, repairs and maintenance

Measure, prepare and install piping and plumbing components

Use hand and power tools safely and correctly

Learn to read drawings, specifications and job instructions

Assist with troubleshooting and testing plumbing systems

Maintain tools, materials and a safe work area

Learn from Journeypersons and senior technicians in the field





Complete required apprenticeship training and on-the-job hours

What we’re looking for

Registered with Apprenticeship Manitoba or eligible to enter the plumbing apprenticeship program

Strong interest in developing a career in the plumbing trade

Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople

Reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working as part of a crew

Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools

Robust work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to progress through required technical training and on-the-job experience

Valid driver’s licence considered an asset
