American Iron & Metal seeks a Dispatcher / Transportation Planner to coordinate drivers, equipment, customers, and operations teams. The position focuses on transportation planning, routing, fleet productivity, and service reliability. You will respond to disruptions while maintaining accurate transportation records.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and dispatch transportation requirements across multiple locations
Optimize routes and schedules for fleet productivity
Coordinate pickups, deliveries, transfers, and material movements
Monitor drivers, equipment availability,



and transportation performance
Track utilization, on-time performance, and load efficiency
Requirements: Two or more years in dispatching or transportation planning
Experience coordinating drivers and equipment in transportation
Understanding of transportation operations, routing, and scheduling
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Apply transportation planning, dispatch coordination, and route optimization skills to support safe, efficient AIM operations.
