As a Senior Operator with The City of Calgary, you will lead repair, replacement, installation, and maintenance activities. You will assess site conditions, apply regulatory standards, and oversee medium- to high-risk operations. The position supports and coaches other operators while protecting water quality and public health.
Key Responsibilities: Perform drinking water system operations, maintenance, and repairs
Assess risks, impacts, safety, dependencies, and resourcing
Plan, organize, and delegate maintenance activities
Ensure work meets regulations, standards, and best practices




Coach operators and report crew development to leaders
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
Level 2 Water Distribution Operator Certification or equivalent
At least six years of related water distribution experience
Valid Class 5 Driver's License with required driving record
Software, desktop, remote device, interpersonal, and adaptability skills
