As a Staff Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer, you will design, develop, and test firmware components. The work covers embedded software, object-oriented design, multithreading, and operating-system concepts. You will support next-generation embedded optical platforms through maintainable code and structured testing.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement software for embedded optical platforms
Review and refine requirements for multiple software features
Finalize maintainable software designs and develop specified code
Review test plans and recommend appropriate test cases




Debug complex issues reported by test teams and customers
Requirements: Minimum eight years of embedded systems design experience
Expert C++ programming and object-oriented design skills
Deep understanding of multithreaded software and operating systems
Degree in computer science, electronics, electrical engineering, or related field
Python, GIT, JIRA, and analytical troubleshooting experience
Apply embedded C++, firmware testing, and troubleshooting expertise to mission-critical optical systems in Ottawa under this contract.
