Maintain critical hospital equipment at North Bay Regional Health Centre using medical instrumentation, electronics, and troubleshooting expertise. Support NBRHC and off-site locations as required.
This mid-level Clinical Engineering Technician delivers safe, effective, and economical healthcare through Medical Device Technology Services. The position services non-diagnostic equipment, including patient beds, sterilizers, instrument washers, renal water systems, and patient lifts. It also supports nurse call systems and other hospital equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Repair and maintain non-diagnostic hospital equipment to manufacturers’ specifications
Complete inspections, installations, commissioning, and decommissioning
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain excellent equipment records




Update the Computerized Maintenance Management System
Provide support across NBRHC and off-site locations
Requirements: Graduate of a two- to three-year Engineering Technician or Technology program
Three to five years’ recent hospital maintenance experience
Knowledge of electronics, medical instrumentation, and recognized standards
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence
Apply clinical engineering expertise in electronics, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance while supporting secure healthcare services at NBRHC.
