This Fashion Designer – Knits role contributes to Reitmans collections from seasonal concepts through final execution. You will develop knitwear across silhouettes, colours, fabrics and details while considering customer needs and commercial opportunities. Collaboration with Design, Merchandising and key partners is central.
Key Responsibilities: Design innovative, trend-driven knitwear collections for Reitmans
Translate cultural and consumer influences into relevant designs
Develop sketches, garment concepts and design packages
Contribute perspective during fittings and collection reviews
Own creative execution through final collection delivery
Requirements: Fashion Design degree or related college diploma
Three to five years of relevant fashion design experience
Understanding of knitwear fabrics, textures, stretch, drape and fit
Experience creating sketches, concepts and presentation materials
French and English bilingualism for partner communication
Bring knitwear expertise, fashion sensibility and collaborative creativity to Reitmans collections through concept, fitting and final execution.
