Apply industrial automation expertise at Heritage, troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and communication network issues across production and facility equipment.
The Automation Specialist provides primary support for local process control, monitoring, ASRS conveyor, and industrial robotic control systems. You will maintain automated equipment, support installation input, and troubleshoot SCADA, PCS, MES, and BAS systems. The position also supports plant maintenance and equipment modifications.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot HMI, PLC, Remote IO, VFD, and network issues
Maintain automation systems, documentation, and machine backups
Support SCADA, PCS, MES, and BAS equipment maintenance
Train plant maintenance teams on controls support




Design AutoCAD electrical schematics for equipment changes
Requirements: Diploma in Industrial Automation or related technical discipline
Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Technician, or Industrial Electrician qualification
Allen-Bradley certificates considered an asset
Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Commitment to food safety and quality processes
Support Heritage automation reliability through controls troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, documentation, and technical training.
