Nova Scotia Health seeks a Renal Assistant for the REN Dialysis CBR department. Reporting to the Renal Program Manager and directed by a Registered Nurse or delegate, you will support hemodialysis and acute dialysis in the Intensive Care Unit. The work includes equipment handling, supply ordering, and patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities: Set up dialysis machines and equipment
Dismantle dialysis machines and equipment
Order stock and special supplies
Assist with patient transfers, lifts, and weighing
Support nursing staff across dialysis settings
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent
Dialysis or clinical care experience considered an asset
Computerized workplace experience preferred
Technical aptitude and mechanical inclination
Knowledge of infection control procedures
