Support technical training for energy operations as an intern with Xcel Energy, using simulator scenarios and multimedia content. This position follows a hybrid work model.
The Training Coordinator Intern supports programs for Transmission System Operators and Balancing Authority Operators. You will help maintain compliance documentation, coordinate training logistics, and contribute to operator readiness. The internship provides exposure to control center environments, electric utility operations, and Bulk Electric System reliability.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain training records, documentation, and compliance tracking
Develop simulator scenarios for Energy Management System events
Capture and edit training video content




Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts throughout ADDIE
Support program review and systematic training development
Requirements: Current freshman or higher education student
Pursuing Business, Training and Development, or Human Resource Development
Enrolled at an accredited college or university
Available full time summer and part time school year
Able to commute in person under Xcel Energy's hybrid policy
Build experience in training coordination, simulator learning, compliance documentation, and electric utility operations at Xcel Energy.
