Reporting to a Senior or Lead Designer, the FPGA Designer documents designs for robotics, radar imagery, command and control, telecommunications, and digital signal processing. The work includes interface definition, functional verification support, and laboratory assistance for board and software developers. You will also report progress and potential issues to the Lead FPGA Designer.
Key Responsibilities: Convert module requirements into design description documents
Define interfaces for modules and small FPGAs
Write VHDL code for modules or FPGAs
Synthesize designs and complete placement and routing
Support verification and laboratory development activities
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Five years of FPGA or ASIC design experience
Experience writing VHDL code
Knowledge of Synplify, ModelSim or Questa, Vivado, and Libero
