Support industrial automation with controls troubleshooting and system recovery for Maple Leaf Foods’ manufacturing facility. This role supports plant operations and equipment effectiveness.
The Automation Engineer reports to the Manager, Automation, supporting automation deliverables and operational shift requirements. You will work with PLC, PC, HMI, SCADA, robotics, and building automation systems. The position also includes instrumentation, maintenance support, vendor collaboration, and equipment network alignment.
Key Responsibilities: Support automation deliverables aligned with the Automation Strategy Plan
Maintain backups and disaster recovery for control systems
Troubleshoot plant equipment locally or through VPN access
Support instrumentation, maintenance,



and building automation programs
Maintain equipment networks under Corporate IS protocols
Requirements: Three to five year Canadian College diploma in Industrial Controls or Automation
At least one year of relevant experience
Instrumentation implementation, integration, and calibration experience
Ability to create and maintain electrical prints in AutoCAD
Knowledge of current safety standards and regulations
Apply industrial controls, instrumentation, AutoCAD, and analytical problem-solving skills as an Automation Engineer supporting Maple Leaf Foods.
