Lead Integrated Pest Management programs for the Town of Caledon, coordinating invasive species control across municipal property and rights-of-way.
As Coordinator, Invasive Species, you will report to the Manager, Parks Operations & Forestry. You will organize activities, oversee contractors, and coordinate management plans. The position also supports tree replacement, partnerships, supervision, and operational communications.
Key Responsibilities: Organize Parks activities for Integrated Pest Management programs
Oversee contractors performing invasive species control
Develop management plans and standard operating procedures
Coordinate regional best practices with Peel partners
Monitor tree replacement work and investigate service requests
Requirements: Post-secondary diploma in Landscape Technician, Forestry, or related field
Three to five years of related experience
Integrated Pest Management certification and Ontario Pesticide Licence
Certified Weed Inspector certification
Valid driver’s licence and daily vehicle access required
