Design overhead transmission lines at CIMA+ using PLS-CADD, CAD systems, and structural analysis within an electric utility environment. Engineering opportunities span Canada’s infrastructure projects.
As a Transmission Lines Designer, you will develop secure solutions for medium-complexity utility projects. The work includes structures, associated facilities, technical documentation, design packages, and signed engineering deliverables. You will support projects from design through construction while working with CIMA+’s T&D; Lines Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities: Design overhead line structures for 5kV to 500kV systems
Perform structural design, analysis, and detailing
Prepare reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, and test plans
Develop design packages with scope, schedule,



and effort estimates
Provide construction support, field reviews, and technical assistance
Requirements: Degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering
At least five years of transmission project experience
Proficiency with PLS-CADD, CAD systems, and drawing standards
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal English communication abilities
Bring transmission experience, structural judgment, and PLS-CADD capability to CIMA+’s overhead line design projects across Canada.
